On Feb. 24, 2009  Forbes.com had an article written by Matt Woolsey that ranked the “10 Best and 10 Worst US Housing Markets using information compiled from the latest S&P/Case-Shiller home price index.   The Washington, DC area ranked #2 of the 10 Best.   In fact the prices here were last this low in April of 2004.   Some of the close-in suburbs surrounding the Washington, Dc area are seeing this improvement, such as Montgomery County, MD which saw an 11.8% increase in the number of homes sold  December 2008 to December 2009.     We’re seeing a marked increase in buyers at Montgomery County Home Pros as many first-timers are deciding that it’s the perfect time to jump in!
